This allows for a number of options for Game Halloween costumes. Make it a tradition by doing a new game each year!

How does one create a Game costumes? One way to do it is to simply wear the game! This is the most simple and accurate way to approach your costume design. Choose a childhood favorite. Everyone remembers twister or Battleship or Ouija.

For board games or games that include small parts or pieces you can attach those pieces to your clothing. Punch holes in the game board, add rope, yarn or twine and let it hang from your shoulders. This works best using two of the game boards - one each for back and front. Decorate your neck or your hat with monopoly money or carry stacks of it in your hand to pass out as you go.

The board for Twister is pliable and easy to use. Cut a hole in the center and pull it over your head and belt it as a tunic over brightly colored tights or cut small holes and drape it over your head to become the ghost of Twisters past. Sewing it into a shirt or dress is possible but might be more trouble than it's worth as the vinyl is easily torn.

Constructing your game Halloween costumes requires destruction of the games. You won't want to use your personal game supply for this but can find many copies available at thrift shops and yard sales. These are often priced cheaply due to a missing piece - but you don't care if there is one less red checker or one chess piece lost. You won't miss it. Ebay is another source for games but local sales may be the most inexpensive option.

Video game outfits have become a popular Halloween staple as well. With the popularity of video gaming on the rise, many people will recreate their favorite game character. Whether your aiming for Halo's Master Chief or the Monkeys from Monkey Ball, your costume can be unique. Love playing the Sims? Why not create a real life Sim! It sounds boring, but if you do it right, it can be fun and unique. Find out how many people recognize the origins of your costume. Add a head piece that displays the talky bubbles or other icons from the game.

Older people, who had less video game exposure growing up, may have a harder time recognizing who you are supposed to be when wearing video game Halloween costumes. However, board games and more traditional and timeless games are usually recognizable by people of all ages.

Game Halloween costumes can be fun for all ages. The options are endless, whether you are going for classic games everyone remembers or more modern video game characters. Save money by reusing or buying used games to build your costume, rather than ruining brand new ones.
